Date Monday, September 27, 2021 Be on the lookout in Hy-Vee (and other) retail stores for Finley’s Ambassadors introducing Finley’s line of dog biscuits and treats. IVRS Job Candidates in Des Moines and Ames took part in the Customer Service Academy which led to the hire of 11 IVRS job candidates. In Des Moines, Counselors Alice Castle (right) and Kathy Davis identified seven candidates for the ambassador positions and all were hired. Finley’s founders Angie and Kyle Gallus came to the Jessie Parker Building to train the new hires who introduce the products in stores. Alice and Ashlee Cummings were there to assist. In Ames, four candidates were hired and Rehabilitation Associate Donald Varner facilitated the training there. The job candidates will begin working in the next few weeks. Angie and Kyle were both special education teachers and Angie developed the dog biscuits as a job training activity. Years later, Angie saw persons with disabilities struggle to find work and the dog treat company was grown to fulfill the need for employment and financial opportunities for persons with disabilities.
