Iowa Vocational Rehabilitation Services

Welcome to IVRS

Vocational Rehabilitation

Iowa Vocational Rehabilitation Services (IVRS) is an employment program for individuals who experience a disability.

We focus on service delivery that helps people:

  • prepare for,
  • get,
  • keep, and
  • advance in employment.

IVRS is an individualized program. It delivers employment services based on your unique individualized employment plan.

Our goal is twofold:

  • employment for our job candidates that meets their needs and interests, and
  • meeting the needs of our business partners.

We approach what we do in collaboration. We team up with

  • our job candidates,
  • business partners,
  • community providers, and
  • One Stop Core Partners.

We have an increasing presence in Iowa high schools.

We provide transition services for students with disabilities.

We prepare a new Future Ready Iowa Workforce.

  • IVRS is Iowa’s state vocational rehabilitation program.
  • It is a division of the Iowa Workforce Development (IWD)
  • We are a part of the state-federal vocational rehabilitation system.
