
Step 2
Intake
You will meet with an IVRS staff member to gather information about your disability and your employment needs and goals. You will also sign forms pertaining to your rights and responsibilities; any needed release of information forms, and complete a health assessment questionnaire.

Step 3
Eligibility
Your counselor will obtain medical records and/or request an assessment to determine your eligibility for services. Based on this, your counselor will determine whether you are either eligible or ineligible for IVRS services. If you are eligible, your counselor will determine whether you are Most Significantly Disabled (MSD), Significantly Disabled (SD), or Others Eligible (OE). You may be placed on a waiting list.

Service Delivery
Based on your IPE, you will receive the unique services needed to achieve your employment goal. Examples of services include counseling and guidance, referrals for mental or physical treatment/restoration, education (junior college, college or graduate), training (occupational, apprenticeships, remedial/literacy training, job readiness, on-the-job training, disability-related skills training, job seeking skills, supported employment, rehabilitation technology, self-employment, customized employment/job carving, and/or on-the-job supports.

Step 6
Employment / Stabilization
Once employed IVRS Staff will follow up with you for at least 90 days to make sure that your employment remains stable and there are no further needs from IVRS.
