The IVRS Process

Step 1

Complete An Application

Step 2

You will meet with an IVRS staff member to gather information about your disability and your employment needs and goals.  You will also sign forms pertaining to your rights and responsibilities; any needed release of information forms, and complete a health assessment questionnaire.

Step 3

Your counselor will obtain medical records and/or request an assessment to determine your eligibility for services. Based on this, your counselor will determine whether you are either eligible or ineligible for IVRS services. If you are eligible, your counselor will determine whether you are Most Significantly Disabled (MSD), Significantly Disabled (SD), or Others Eligible (OE). You may be placed on a waiting list.

Step 4

Plan Development

Once off the wait list individuals will work with their counselor on the development of their individualized plan for employment (IPE). You and your counselor are partners in this process and your IPE will be unique to your employment goals and needs.
